Product Tips

While using send SMS API:

  • If your message body contains only plain English text, ensure that you have set the Unicode parameter (if used) to 0 -  your message cost will be calculated at 160 characters per credit.
  • If your message body contains a non-GSM character (not included as a part of GSM 03.38) such as '₹' or regional language text, encode the message and set the Unicode parameter to 1 to ensure the message is delivered as expected.  When Unicode parameter is set to 1, the message body is limited to 70 characters per credit and is calculated as a Unicode message irrespective of the message content.
